Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Job Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Production Manager in maintaining a positive work environment that provides our employees with an efficient and quality workplace. The Production Supervisor assists in training, product knowledge, line setups, verifies machine centerlines, and encourages safe work practices while demonstrating commitment to the company’s guiding principles. The position directly supervises the entire Production floor workforce during their shift. Responsibilities Employee Safety Communicate safety as the number one priority for employees by encouraging safe work practices and immediately addressing safety concerns Present weekly Toolbox Talks to all employees to help instill a constant safety-based mindset Complete accident reports for all safety incidents and perform root cause analysis using the 5 Whys method Monitor and ensure compliance with the daily knife checkout log Participate in monthly safety meetings and submit a weekly safety observation to the Safety department Efficiency Monitoring Complete OEE/downtime reporting in the Mongoose application throughout the shift Document machine settings and ensure compliance, using the Forms application to track machine settings Summarize shift efficiencies and issues in a daily downtime email Production Duties Maintain a clean production floor with equipment, pallets, and personnel in proper positions Participate in site DDS meeting and production department DDS meeting Monitor job changeovers and complete checkweigher (machine) setups for new jobs Approve and signoff on job changeovers with Sanitation and Quality Leads Request, verify, and troubleshoot material availability through the proper ERP system Submit Helpdesk tickets for IT, HR, and Facilities related issues Assist assistant supervisors with lot code checks during shift startup or lot changes Complete the operations checklist for every line each day Manage reworks by verifying they are completed timely, accurately, and safely Oversee waste control areas and ensure proper streams are followed by waste control personnel and line employees Monitor and ensure the meaningful value of bonus grids to confirm they provide appropriate motivation for employees at the lines Maintain excellent communication with production teams on different shifts so accurate information is appropriately shared Assist with line trials when necessary Fill in for employees on the lines for bathroom breaks, trainings, personal issues, etc., when necessary Employee Management Maintain a positive work environment to ensure Creative Werks is the employer of choice for all employees Supervise the activities of associate assistant supervisors, senior operators, team leaders/operators, and waste control personnel Enforce disciplinary rules and actions for employees and report to MSI onsite and HR Mediate and deescalate conflicts between employees at the lines Manage all other employee issues, including personal, performance, attendance, etc., and communicate actions taken with MSI onsite Act as translator between employees who have difficulty communicating with each other Approve final daily scheduling and assign employees to lines, reviewing accuracy of hours posted in Mongoose Monitor production indirect labor hours to ensure they meet budgeting standards and report to the Production Manager Employee Training Continuously coach and train assistant supervisors in new procedures and skills Onboard new employees daily Administer Alchemy training for all employees yearly Continuously instruct Team Leaders and Operators by leading monthly training meetings and managing continued Alchemy training for employees Manage training of Team Leaders, Operators, general labor in new skills/tasks/job/policy requirements Manage and approve new Team Leaders and Operators promotions through a set 4‑week Learning Plan Collaboration with Other Departments Work together with personnel in various operations departments to ensure the production floor runs safely and efficiently Communicate food safety concerns and potential quality issues with the Quality team Work with the Warehouse team to guarantee material is brought to lines in a timely manner and monitor accurate tracking of pallets (ghost pallets) Collaborate with the Sanitation team to provide employees for sanitations and changeovers Inform the Maintenance team of machine/equipment issues Communicate with the Supply Chain about crew shortages and scheduling adjustments Act as the main line of communication with Client Services by filling out new item forms for new jobs, detailing BOM concerns, and explaining any other relevant information while escalating issues through proper communication channels Perform other duties as assigned by Management Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively at all levels Ability to prioritize and organize workload Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required Education and Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (prefer BA/BS) Working Conditions Ability to work between an office setting and warehouse environment with a temperature range of 55–80 degrees Physical Requirements Operate standard office equipment Active position that requires standing, walking, reaching, and bending Lift up to 25 pounds Salary $70,000 – $100,000 plus 8% bonus opportunity #J-18808-Ljbffr creative werks
