AI is crossing a threshold. Systems of agents can now do consequential work unattended, for hours at a time, and most companies still lack the layer that would let them trust it. Plasma builds that layer: delegation with limits, live oversight, and one record of everything learned. Infrastructure for an AI operable world.
We come from places where autonomy already carried real stakes. Our founders built Omega Strategies, an autonomous trading firm that ran hundreds of probabilistic models against live capital. The team's experience spans Palantir, Subquadratic, D. E. Shaw, J.P. Morgan, Google, TPG, and Morgan Stanley, founding-team startup experience, and more.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a frontend engineer to work alongside our CTO and shape Plasma's user experience. An AI-native product builder with both technical expertise and good taste.
Plasma's users are technically demanding operators of autonomous systems: clarity, information density, and precision matter as much as aesthetics. If you're interested in owning design and engineering direction from the ground up, this role is for you.
What You'll Work On
- Frontend Ownership : Design, architect, and implement Plasma's core product UI/UX
- Complex Systems UX : Translate dense, technical workflows into interfaces that make autonomous systems easier to understand, operate, and trust
- Design Systems : Build and maintain the design system and component library that define Plasma's product identity and scale across the application
- Product Direction : Partner with the founding team to shape what gets built and make the right tradeoffs between speed, scope, and craft
What We're Looking For
- Strong frontend engineering: React, Angular, or Vue, plus TypeScript, modern CSS, and animations
- Visual and interaction design sensibility that's immediately recognizable in your work
- You ship real products, not just prototypes
- A portfolio that demonstrates craft: shipped products, personal projects, open-source tools
- Experience building modern enterprise SaaS or systems at companies known for design-engineering excellence (Vercel, Linear, Figma, Stripe, Notion, Apple) is a plus, not a requirement
