Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT) Job Type: PRN, Nonexempt Schedule: Days, Saturdays, Weekdays as needed Location: Acute Care (Med/Surg), Inpatient Rehabilitation, Outpatient Overview: Maria Parham Health, a Duke LifePoint Hospital, provides comprehensive physical therapy services in inpatient and outpatient settings. The facility is jointly accredited and focuses on delivering high‑quality patient care. Responsibilities The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients with injuries or functional limitations to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore independence. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy, and educating patients, families, and nursing staff on home exercise programs. The PT documents care in accordance with regulatory and accrediting standards, communicates progress to the interdisciplinary team, assists with scheduling and charge entry, maintains a safe treatment environment, and participates in discharge planning and performance improvement activities. Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and/or outpatient settings preferred. Current state Physical Therapist (PT) license. Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
