Job Posting: Dental Assistant Job Description Joseph A Savoini DMD PC is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at our vibrant and growing dental office. Which makes the dentalcareer exciting with growth, learning and caring for patients. Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Set up and breakdown operatory pre & post treatment. Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as prescribed. Take intra-oral pictures Scan teeth/full arches to prepare for dental procedure Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment. Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures. Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing). Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth). Help with organization procedures. Monitor and maintain the dental equipment, such as the autoclave, units, lights and x-ray machines, in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines. Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Radiography certification as per state requirements or willing to learn and participate in the Radiography certification process. Ability to perform basic computer functions. Exceptional communication and patient care skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrable ability to take instructions and responsibility. Commitment to the highest standards of patient privacy and ethical conduct.
