KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist, per Texas PTA supervision requirements
- Deliver therapeutic exercise, gait training, and functional mobility interventions
- Document treatment notes and daily progress in the EMR under required PT co-signature
- Communicate patient status, progress, and concerns to the supervising PT
- Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with facility infection-control protocols
REQUIREMENTS
Must-Have
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Texas PTA license (or compact/state license eligibility)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 1 year PTA experience (skilled nursing/rehab preferred)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Geriatric or rehab setting experience
