The candidates must have education verification, a current Wisconsin license, CPR/BLS, and NIHSS. Travel nurses may be required to float to other units. This position will require every other weekend and holiday coverage. Shifts will be 12 hours (Days 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Applies critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience and escalates appropriately within the chain of command.
