IT Business Systems Analyst Sacramento, CA 6-12 months Need locals - F2F interview Description: Client is looking for a responsible business analyst to work with business process owners and application developers to capture requirements, document systems, and test software solutions that improve business processes. Some processes require observation of maintenance and operations staff in the field. Skills required include: excellent problem solving abilities, project management, troubleshooting issues, administering and testing applications, eliciting requirements, and documenting business processes using various methodologies including user stories and workflow diagrams. Knowledge of software application development methodologies, and database systems is desired. The ideal candidate will be able to work with the existing team to contribute in the following areas Qualifications and Experience: Software experience preferred: Nexgen Asset Management Atlassian Confluence and Jira Izenda/Logi/Tableau/SSRS reporting Work experience preferred: Water Purveyor/Utility Government service/processes experience Exceptional customer service foundation and practice Exceptional communication skills A passion for writing Ability to work in high speed, demanding environment 5+ years of business analysis, project management, and end-user interaction 3+ years of implementing information technology projects and/or products Bachelor’s Degree a plus CCBA or CBAP certified a plus Responsibilities: Elicit, develop, organize, document and simplify requirements Analyze and provide status reports on maintenance activities, KPIs, and asset failure codes Develop requirements analysis documentation for projects in the approval process Develop project documentation including technical specifications and user guides Develop software test plans Conduct quality assurance testing for software systems Train users on software Create as-is documentation for existing systems Create User guides Desired Skills: Must present well and communicate in a professional manner Able to facilitate meetings Able to establish and meet deadlines Able to effectively communicate equally well with customers, technical staff, management and vendors Excellent oral and written skills Able to learn new systems Able to adapt to different management approaches Regards Naresh Damagalla West Advanced Technologies, Inc E: View email address on click.appcast.io.
