Job Summary

Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Madison, WI This position involves providing specialized emergency care in a Level I Trauma Center. The role requires delivering quality patient treatment across adult and pediatric populations in a fast-paced community hospital setting, incorporating advanced trauma and stroke care, as well as supporting regional patients.

Job Details

• Position Description: ER Nurse, Nights 12-hour shifts with a schedule of 1900-0730, minimum of 36 hours per week, with weekends and holidays rotating as needed.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license; BLS, PALS, ACLSAHA only; TNCC certification; two years of emergency department experience within the last three years; Epic charting system experience; minimum of 1500-0330 or 1900-0730 shift availability.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience and trauma level II experience are preferred.
• Additional Qualifications: Must pass telemetry test prior to start; minimum of two years of acute care experience in the specialty submitted for; current certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC are required; candidate must have experience managing adult and pediatric emergency cases such as trauma, cardiac emergencies, respiratory issues, and behavioral health conditions.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours weekly, starting 11/09/2026.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must successfully pass a telemetry test with a strict passing score of 80% or higher in two attempts or submit proof of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course.
