  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs, focusing specifically on the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

  • Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that identify their unique goals, preferences, and therapeutic requirements.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders and promote mental wellness.

  • Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and interventions to promote mental health and self-care strategies.

  • Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes, utilizing tools such as progress notes and standardized assessment scales.

  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that effectively addresses the complexities of mood-related issues.

This role primarily focuses on individuals grappling with mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT is required in the state of New York.

  • Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, with successful outcomes in treating mood disorders.

  • Strong understanding of psychopharmacology as it relates to mood disorders, enabling effective collaboration with medical professionals.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele, fostering trust and therapeutic engagement.
