Role OverviewThe Senior Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines and data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven products. This role plays a key part in technical decision-making, reliability, and mentoring while partnering closely with analytics, product, and engineering teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelinesDevelop and maintain data models in data warehouses and lakesEnsure data reliability, quality, and performance across systemsCollaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver analytics-ready dataLead technical design reviews and contribute to architectural decisionsMonitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures and performance issuesImplement best practices for testing, version control, and documentationMentor junior data engineers and review codeContribute to data platform roadmap and continuous improvementQualificationsBachelor 's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in data engineering or related rolesAdvanced SQL and strong proficiency in Python (or similar language)Experience with data warehousing and data modeling techniquesProven experience building production-grade data pipelinesStrong understanding of cloud-based data architecturesPreferred ExperienceCloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Orchestration and transformation tools (Airflow, dbt, Spark, Kafka, etc.)Experience with streaming or near-real-time data systemsFamiliarity with data governance, observability, and security best practices
