Speech Language Pathologist

Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Establish treatment goals and develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based on full clinical evaluations. Provide rehabilitative services under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team. Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patients' plans of care. Treat residents one-on-one through private treatment sessions using a functional-based treatment approach. Deliver personalized rehabilitative care to senior living community residents. Collaborate with rehabilitation therapists and care teams. Requirements Master's Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills Ability to evaluate and treat swallowing disorders Ability to treat communication and cognitive impairments Ability to use evidence-based therapeutic techniques Ability to establish treatment goals and develop and implement Speech Pathology treatment programs Ability to provide rehabilitative services under specific medical orders Ability to participate in clinical conferences and coordinate patient care Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in evaluating and treating swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
