Senior Google Ads Strategist

Adlantica is a Dallas-based performance advertising agency helping service businesses and ecommerce brands generate measurable growth. We are hiring a senior, hands-on Google Ads strategist who can independently manage and scale complex lead-generation and ecommerce accounts. You'll need deep expertise in how Google's advertising platforms work, what drives performance, what limits growth, and how to make them work more effectively. Beyond managing and optimizing campaigns, we expect you to identify growth opportunities, develop and test strategies, and translate performance data into sound business recommendations. Responsibilities Own hands-on strategy, execution, and optimization across Google Ads and Meta Ads for multiple client accounts, including campaign architecture, targeting, bidding, budgets, launches, and ongoing performance. Develop acquisition strategies across Google Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, and Demand Gen. Understand how these campaign types interact, where each fits in the customer journey, and when they can help capture or create additional demand. Monitor account performance proactively, identify meaningful changes, and investigate potential causes across auction competition, CPC, search demand, conversion rates, campaign changes, seasonality, tracking, and landing-page performance. Independently develop, prioritize, and execute experiments across campaign types, keywords, match types, bidding strategies, audiences, creative, and landing pages. Make decisions based on clients' business objectives, not platform metrics alone. Look beyond CPL and ROAS to understand qualified leads, booked appointments, customer acquisition costs, revenue, and opportunities for growth. Apply advanced Google Ads knowledge to campaign decisions. Understand how auctions, Smart Bidding, automation, learning, conversion signals, and platform limitations affect results. Manage ecommerce acquisition through Shopping, Performance Max, and Merchant Center, including product feed quality, product segmentation, budget allocation, and profitability-focused optimization. Set up, validate, and troubleshoot conversion tracking across Google Ads, GA4, GTM, and Meta. Understand enhanced conversions, offline conversion imports, CRM integrations, and attribution. Involve developers when needed and verify that issues are resolved. Maintain strong operational discipline through campaign QA, change documentation, automated monitoring, and efficient account management. Ensure campaigns remain healthy and deliverables move forward without constant supervision. Communicate performance findings and recommendations clearly to the founder and Account Director. Explain what changed, what likely caused it, how confident you are, what you recommend, and what results you expect. Contribute confidently to technical and strategic discussions. Requirements 5+ years of hands-on paid advertising experience, with deep, current expertise in Google Ads and substantial experience managing multiple accounts in a performance-focused agency. Expert knowledge of Google Search, including keyword strategy, search intent, match types, negative keywords, auction dynamics, bidding, account structure, automation, and optimization. Strong hands-on experience with Performance Max, Shopping, Demand Gen, YouTube, and Google Merchant Center, including an understanding of how to select, structure, optimize, and evaluate these campaign types. Demonstrated success generating and scaling qualified leads for service-based and B2B businesses, along with substantial ecommerce experience. Strong working expertise in Meta Ads, including campaign structure, automated delivery, targeting, creative testing, and conversion optimization for lead generation and ecommerce. Advanced analytical and strategic judgment. Able to diagnose performance changes, evaluate competing explanations, distinguish correlation from causation, and design experiments that produce useful insights. Practical technical experience with conversion tracking, GA4, GTM, enhanced conversions, CRM/offline conversion data, call tracking, and attribution. Capable of implementing core tracking and directing more complex technical investigations. Excellent written and spoken English. Able to explain complex advertising performance, technical limitations, and strategic recommendations clearly.
