- Prepare and cook meals that align with physician-ordered diets, resident preferences, and facility menus.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency and nutritional standards.
- Ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with Department of Health and food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food storage areas, and equipment.
- Monitor food inventory and assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Collaborate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Maintain accurate food temperature logs and sanitation records as required.
- Respond to resident dietary needs and requests in a respectful and professional manner.
- Participate in training, staff meetings, and quality assurance activities as directed by the Dietary Manager.

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous cooking experience in healthcare, senior living, or institutional food service setting preferred.
- Knowledge of modified diets, portion control, and food safety procedures.
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within a specified period.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and interact positively with residents and staff.
- All applicants will undergo a drug screen, criminal history check, and physical as part of the interview process.
- Knowledge of food preparation, modified diets, portion control, and food safety .
- Ability to prepare quality meals efficiently while following menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail .
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment .
- Strong communication skills and a professional, respectful approach with residents and coworkers.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and respond appropriately to changing needs.
- Commitment to resident satisfaction, dignity, and quality dining experiences .
- Full-time, in-person position.
- Current opening is 5:30am - 2pm shift with a set two-week schedul e.
- Every other weekend / holiday.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during meal preparation and service.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks.
- Ability to work safely in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
- Ability to safely handle kitchen equipment, food products, and cleaning supplies.
- Ability to maintain focus and follow food safety and sanitation practices.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other privacy requirements applicable to the position.
