Description:

Position Summary:

Assemblers are responsible for the gathering and assembly of job components, including wiring, into the finished product and then are prepared for crating or packing in boxes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints, line drawings, and directions written in English.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, and ability to distinguish colored wiring is required.
• Ability to safely operate power and small hand tools.
• Ability to use a tape measure.
• Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane.
• Proficient in basic math.
• Good manual dexterity.

Manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes, airborne particles and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud.

Requirements:

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to stand and walk in approximately a 200 ft. radius for 8-10 hours/day.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50-80lbs.
• Ability to use correct body posture.
• Ability to maintain correct postures while reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, and twisting.
• Ability to reach horizontally across a work surface beyond 12" from the body up to full body extension.
• Concentration of study in mechanical arts classes a plus.
