As a family company, we value the expertise and experience of our team.Job DescriptionThe Residential Service Technician I is primarily responsible for pinpointing paths of wires, pipes, and other conduits that carry utilities underground. This position also assists with the installation, repair, and maintenance of telecommunication and broadband services.Job DutiesLocate and mark underground copper and fiber optic cable and conduitMaintain and update customer location information in the USA ticket management systemCommunicates with contractors/property owners regarding property locatesAssists with new telecommunication and broadband service installationsAssist with testing, troubleshooting and repair of telecommunication and broadband servicesAssist with inside wire and ONT installation and trouble shootingAssist with maintenance of telecommunication and broadband infrastructureAssist outside plant technicians and other departments as neededOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.Job RequirementsMust have a valid California driver license and favorable DMV record.High School diploma or equivalent; a college degree is desirable.Must comply with all company policies and safety procedures.Basic computer keyboard and software skills (Excel, Word, and other applications).Telecommunications wiring color code competency.General knowledge of Outside Plant construction desired.Actively participate in a team environment and practice the "Corporate and Spirit of 46 values".Must be available to work overtime and assume on-call duties as required.Maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance.Maintain a clean and properly equipped vehicle.Physical, Mental and Environmental RequirementsAll requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.Must be able to climb ladders, sit, bend, stoop, stand or walk for extended periods.Must be available to work overtime, varied shifts and assume on-call duties as required.Ability to work in temperature extremes ranging from +20o to +105o Fahrenheit.Ability to lift and/or pull up to 120 lbs.ComplianceIf you need an accommodation as part of the employment process, please contact Human Resources.Sebastian is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.If you want to view the Pay Transparency Policy Statement, please click the link: English
