Senior Clinical Supply Chain ManagerThe Senior Clinical Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end clinical investigational product (IP) supply strategy and execution across a portfolio of clinical studies, ensuring consistent, compliant, and cost-effective supply to global clinical sites and depots.This role drives cross-study demand and supply planning, establishes inventory and buffer strategies, and supports operational execution across packaging, labeling, distribution, and returns. The individual will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support clinical trial timelines from study start-up through closeout.The Senior Manager operates in a dynamic environment, proactively identifies risks, and partners across functions to support program milestones.Roles & ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end clinical supply planning and execution across multiple studies, including demand forecasting, supply planning, packaging/labeling, distribution, returns, reconciliation, disposition/destruction, and study closeoutPartner cross-functionally to align supply strategy with clinical timelines and key milestones (e.g., FPI, LPLV/LPLD), ensuring supply continuity and risk mitigationEstablish and manage inventory strategies (e.g., buffer levels, resupply approaches, expiry management) to balance availability with efficiencyCollaborate with study teams to develop and maintain demand forecasts, incorporating protocol updates, enrollment trends, and site-level variabilityIdentify and manage supply risks, including escalation, root-cause analysis, and implementation of mitigation strategiesOversee execution with external partners (e.g., manufacturing, packaging, logistics, and clinical service providers), including performance monitoring and issue resolutionSupport interactive response technology (IRT) strategy and execution, including system setup, testing, and alignment with supply plansMaintain accurate inventory visibility across materials and systems; support reconciliation activities and data quality checksEnsure clinical supply documentation is complete, accurate, and inspection-readyPartner with Quality and Regulatory functions to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and standardsContribute to process improvements, SOP development, and implementation of best practicesProvide regular status updates, reporting, and input into budget tracking and cost management activitiesMentor and provide guidance to team members as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments with direct clinical supply chain responsibilityExperience working in Small Molecules & Solid Oral DosagesExperience supporting clinical trials across multiple sites and regionsStrong knowledge of demand forecasting, supply planning, packaging/labeling operations, logistics, and reconciliation processesExperience working with external vendors and service providersWorking knowledge of GMP/ICH guidelines related to clinical supplyProficiency with Excel and familiarity with supply chain and clinical systems (e.g., IRT, inventory tools)Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing prioritiesPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in a related disciplineExperience supporting solid oral dose or other pharmaceutical dosage formsFamiliarity with multiple IRT systems or clinical logistics platformsProject management certification (e.g., PMP)Experience with global supply considerations such as import/export and customs processesEOE Statement: Specialist Staffing Group is an equal opportunity employer.
