Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring 1-2 years of experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• OB GYN unit in a regional health center setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 weekly guaranteed hours available
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other units within the hospital as needed
• Active labor patient ratio of 1:1 and couplet care ratio of 3:1
• Uses intermediate fetal monitoring equipment and Philips Tracevue
• Meditech EHR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (Iowa or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE
• 1-2 years of RN experience required, with consideration for candidates with 1 year experience plus travel experience
• Must clear Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions
• All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start; instant or statewide searches not accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
• Titers required within last 12 months for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within the OB GYN/Labor & Delivery unit
• Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
