Line Cook
Roman's, the celebrated neighborhood Italian restaurant in Fort Greene, seeks a full time Line Cook with restaurant experience. This is a garde manger position that requires nighttime and weekend availability. What we offer:

Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up all assigned stations with appropriate mise en place in advance of service.
- Attend pre-shift meetings and put up testers according to set standards.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to both quality and timing standards.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe workstation throughout service.
- Follow allergy protocols and modify dishes at the direction of the chefs.
- Label, stock, and organize inventory.
- Break down stations fully. Clean and sanitize workstation prior to departing the shift.
Successful candidates will:
- Have 2+ years of professional cooking experience with excellent production skills
- Display keen attention to detail and spatial awareness
- Be reliable, focused, organized, communicative, and curious
- Have a receptive and charitable attitude toward constructive feedback
- Be interested in working collaboratively towards meeting the goals of the team and the business
While performing the duties of the job, a Line Cook is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. They must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $24.00)
