The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS accredited by AHA.Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstand principles of aseptic technique and their implementationAbility to care for patients with changing medical priorities and ability to respond accordinglyKnowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errorsAbility to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when neededExcellent teaching skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsDemonstrate strong professional and ethical behaviorAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and fellow employees.
