Title RN – Registered Nurse – Surgical PCU “We dedicate our lives to caring for yours” Position Description: RN - Registered Nurse - Surgical PCU BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Surgical PCU unit team at St. Joseph’s Hospital. This PCU unit is responsible for taking care of post op abdominal and thoracic surgery patients. The RN responsibilities include: Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. Professional accountability and development. Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned. Qualifications: Certifications and Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required RN (Registered Nurse) license is required ACLS Certification, if required by department Nurse Specialty certification is preferred Education: Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred Experience: 6 monthsof RN experience is required. Experience taking care of tubes, drains, ostomy, and wound care is preferred.
