In this role, you will take ownership of robust data infrastructure that handles real-time inventory configuration and audience targeting at scale. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an engineer who excels at system reliability, deep diagnostic analysis, and scalable backend design.ResponsibilitiesServe as a secondary technical escalation point for core data infrastructure, systematically resolving issues tied to data processing and inventory targeting.Engineer and refine data platform components to enhance throughput, maintain high availability, and support client growth.Design automated utilities and scripts to streamline diagnostic workflows and reduce manual operational overhead.Perform code-level debugging across complex distributed environments to eliminate bottlenecks and strengthen system stability.Partner with engineering teams, client support leads, and external technical partners to translate functional requirements into scalable software solutions.Active participant in software release lifecycles, taking charge of pre-launch testing, deployment validation, and live event monitoring.Requirements (must-have)Experience: 6+ years of dedicated backend engineering experience building and maintaining high-throughput software architectures.Programming Languages: Proficiency in software development and debugging using Python, Go (Golang), or Scala.Architecture: Proven background in operating, scaling, and troubleshooting distributed microservices and backend data pipelines.Data Management: Solid foundation in SQL database design and query optimization.Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience supporting cloud-native applications (AWS or similar) across networking, compute, identity management, and serverless architectures.DevOps & Tooling: Familiarity with modern containerization, CI/CD tools, and deployment systems (Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins).Fundamentals: Deep understanding of Linux environments, network protocols, and operational monitoring.Availability: Willingness to engage in on-call shifts to support critical live events and platform operations.Preferred Qualifications (nice-to-have)Knowledge of cybersecurity standards, infrastructure hygiene, and modern incident handling procedures.Previous background in high-volume ad technology, digital video streaming, or real-time bidding infrastructure.Demonstrated ability to convert complex operational feedback into proactive performance and usability upgrades.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: Competitive market-rate compensation package commensurate with experience.Benefits: Comprehensive benefits plan including medical coverage, retirement plans, and standard time off.
