THIS JOB IS AT THE PORT ALLEN PIPE FABRICATION FACILITY IN PORT ALLEN, LA
Job Description: We are currently seeking a detail-driven Quality Assurance Specialist to support our pipe fabrication operations. This role ensures compliance with codes of construction while managing critical quality documentation and inspection activities.
Key responsibilities:
Manage welder qualifications, continuity tracking, and ASME Section IX compliance
Review project specifications before and after project awards
Partner with Project Managers and the Engineering Department during job set-up
Prepare and submit quality documents to clients, and track/resolve returned comments
Develop project inspection & Test plans and coordinate quality requirements
Attend pre-inspection meetings and communicate expectations to internal teams
Qualifications:
Experience in pipe fabrication QA/QC or industrial inspection
Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.1, and Section IX
Ability to read piping isometrics, weld symbols, and technical specifications
CWI Preferred
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills
Must possess excellent skills and experience with the Google platform
Must be self-directed and detail oriented
Must be able to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines

Job site Personal Protective Equipment (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots etc.) required when in shop/yard areas

Mental Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; reading and interpreting load charts; judging distances and slopes accurately; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards
Work Environment Factors:
Location: Office area at fabrication facility
Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground levels; obstructed pathways
Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately indoor climate; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment etc.
Miscellaneous Requirements:
There will be times that the individual may be required to perform a task other than their normal operation as required by the company or management, owing to the job demand.
