MBB Food Runner

Job Summary & Scope:

The Food Runner plays an essential role in ensuring a smooth and efficient dining

experience by delivering food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately. This

position requires an individual who is organized, attentive to detail, and works well under

pressure. The Food Runner will also support the front-of-house team in maintaining

cleanliness and organization during service, ensuring that all orders are delivered with the

utmost care and at the appropriate temperature. A friendly and professional attitude is key

to providing an excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport food from the kitchen to dining tables efficiently and accurately.

• Ensure that all food orders are correct, complete, and presented in an attractive

manner before delivering to guests.

• Work closely with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of

orders.

• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workstation, including clearing plates

and utensils when necessary.

• Ensure that guests' tables are set up and maintained, including replenishing items

like condiments, napkins, and drink refills.

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic

environment.

• Assist with bussing tables and resetting them when needed to maintain a smooth

flow of service.

• Collaborate with the front-of-house team, providing support to waitstaff and

management as needed.

• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and team

members, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is

preferred.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests

and team members.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks

simultaneously.

• Physically capable of performing tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and

lifting food trays or heavy objects.

• A positive, helpful attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service.

• Knowledge of general food safety and sanitation practices.

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and

holidays as required.
