As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Support in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support guests with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions that could impact the location, and help to deter issues through visible presence and professional interaction.
• Support access control and general site operations by observing foot traffic, assisting with directional questions, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or property concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
