Material Handler - 1st Shift Columbia City, IN Temp-to-Hire Starting Pay: $17-$19/hour | $19-$22/hour upon direct hire Enjoy staying active and working around trucks and equipment? Pro Resources is hiring a Material Handler for a truck equipment company in Columbia City. This hands-on role keeps parts and materials moving so the shop team has what they need to get the job done. This position takes place in an automotive-style shop, rather than a traditional warehouse or factory. You’ll regularly move between indoor and outdoor areas, use a forklift, and lift and deliver heavy, awkwardly shaped items to service bays. Experience handling oversized or irregular loads is especially helpful. Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM What You’ll Do Pick and deliver parts, materials, and equipment to shop bays. Safely move heavy and oddly shaped items using forklifts and other material handling equipment. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and deliveries. Receive shipments and check items and quantities against purchase orders and packing lists. Prepare and package outgoing orders. Organize stock, record inventory transactions, and assist with inventory counts. Keep work areas clean and follow safety procedures. What We’re Looking For Forklift experience and current forklift certification. Ability to safely lift, carry, and handle heavy, awkwardly shaped materials. Comfort working indoors and outdoors throughout the day. Ability to read pick tickets, purchase orders, and packing lists. Basic math skills, attention to detail, and dependable attendance. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience. Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes/boots and safety glasses are required.
