Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | Weekdays with Every Other Weekend | Extension Possible

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult psychiatric and behavioral health patients in an inpatient setting
• Fill open shifts not covered by regular staff; flexible scheduling required as blocked schedule requests cannot be accommodated
• Maintain patient safety and therapeutic environment in accordance with unit protocols and staff-to-patient ratios
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress using the Avatar EMR system
• Adhere to facility attendance policies; absences of 3 or more consecutive days due to illness or injury require physician verification and medical clearance prior to return
• Complete all required pre-start onboarding steps, including in-state fingerprinting in West Virginia at least 7-10 business days prior to start date - this is a state requirement with no exceptions

• Active West Virginia RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license may be acceptable)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BCLS (AHA), CPI, and First Aid (CPI and First Aid may be obtained during orientation)
• Must be available to complete West Virginia state fingerprinting in-person at least 7-10 business days prior to start
• Must complete all pre-start online modules (approximately 8-20 hours) prior to attending on-site orientation; candidates who arrive without completed modules will not be permitted to begin orientation
• Local candidates are welcome to apply; first-time travelers are accepted

• Prior experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or forensic nursing settings
• Familiarity with the Avatar EMR system
• Experience working with adult psychiatric populations in an inpatient environment

• 13-week contract with the possibility of extension, offering stability and the opportunity to grow within a specialized behavioral health setting
• Scrubs provided (Navy or Royal Blue), reducing out-of-pocket costs for travelers
