Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division delivers industry-leading metrology solutions essential to advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Its portfolio includes systems for measuring film thickness, critical dimensions, composition, and resistivity—key to developing and scaling next-gen IC processes. FaST partners closely with customers from early R&D through high-volume production, ensuring performance and process alignment.What You'll DoIn this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.Role OverviewThe System Engineer will support Intel development and manufacturing programs by driving product readiness, performance, and yield across development and ramp phases. This role partners closely with Intel fab engineering, KLA internal R&D, and cross‑functional teams to ensure successful deployment of KLA technologies in advanced semiconductor environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport product development activities from early customer engagement through high‑volume manufacturingAnalyze manufacturing, process, and tool performance data to identify yield, reliability, and performance trendsLead root‑cause analysis and structured problem solving for product and process issuesCollaborate with Intel fab engineers, process integration, and yield teams to drive improvementsDefine, document, and maintain Best Known Methods (BKMs), process flows, and product learningSupport tool qualification, characterization, and continuous improvement initiativesTranslate customer feedback into actionable inputs for KLA R&D and product teamsCommunicate technical findings clearly to internal stakeholders and customer partnersQualificationsMS, or PhD in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Physics, or related field)Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process development, yield engineering, or product developmentOutstanding skills in optical systems, opt-mechanics, electrical engineering or mechanical engineeringStrong data analysis and problem‑solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a customer‑facing, cross‑functional environmentExperience working with or supporting Intel fabs is strongly preferredAbility to travel local and international up to 15%Preferred ExperienceStatistical data analysis, DOE, yield analysisFamiliarity with fab operations and product ramp environmentsHands‑on experience with semiconductor tools or development programsMinimum QualificationsMaster's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 yearsAbout KLAWe provide advanced inspection tools, metrology systems, process solutions, and computational analytics that make electronics possible, tackling complex challenges.
