Lead and perform actuarial analyses that support reserving, forecasting, and strategic decision-making Evaluate new business opportunities, providing data-driven insights Monitor emerging risks and communicate business implications Partner with Underwriting, Legal, Reinsurance, and Accounting teams Develop and govern actuarial models and methodologies Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership Mentor and develop actuarial talent Support State National's values and strategic priorities Requirements ACAS required FCAS preferred 8+ years of progressively responsible actuarial experience Strong commercial lines reserving expertise Proven ability to explain complex actuarial concepts Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities Experience with SQL, Python, Excel, and related technologies Ability to travel up to 15% as needed Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in actuarial analyses, including reserving and forecasting, while effectively communicating complex concepts to senior leadership.
