ASCENDtials assists those in the BIPOC community in dismantling institutionalized isms within the U.S. workforce by offering workshops that empower them. Our non‑profit organization focuses on building cosmic consciousness through experiential learning programs, healing sessions, workshops, and environmental programs so that they can advocate for humanity and the environment. Fundraising Lead Position Summary The Fundraising Coordinator at ASCENDtials reports to the Program Team Lead and Director and oversees all fund development activities. This role involves identifying and researching potential donors, managing corporate partnerships, preparing proposals, nurturing donor relationships, and coordinating educational activities for community and fundraising purposes. Responsibilities Research and maintain donor profiles. Manage donor and corporate sponsor stewardship. Identify funding opportunities. Prepare organization support proposals. Coordinate fundraising events. Maintain development databases. Facilitate meetings with donors and partners. Solicit sponsorships and donations. Handle presentation requests and inquiries. Attend and present at community meetings and networking events as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Preferred Proficiency in conducting comprehensive research and utilizing analytical thinking to identify potential donors and funding opportunities. A deep dedication to the organization's mission, vision, and values. Collaborative mindset and innovative approach to problem solving, contributing to a dynamic and creative work environment. Proven ability to work effectively under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with an understanding of the importance of handling confidential information with discretion and integrity. High-level competency in Microsoft Office applications and experience in database management. Possession of a bachelor’s degree in fields such as business administration, communications, marketing, non-profit management, or related areas. Familiarity with San Diego’s philanthropic community.
