Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric categories using a variety of standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Create tailored treatment plans that align with both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions centered around communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the therapy process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of developments in the field through regular education initiatives and peer interactions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited academic institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Possession of state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preference for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
