Licensed Journeyman Electrician – Now Hiring at QTS Data Center in Cedar Rapids, IALocation: Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Open to travelers with a reciprocal license to IA)Position Overview: A large-scale data center construction site in Cedar Rapids is seeking multiple licensed Journeyman Electricians for long-term work. This role offers high earning potential, steady overtime, and daily per diem. Electricians will support installation, conduit work, power distribution, and commissioning activities within a mission-critical environment.Compensation & Schedule:Pay: $64/hourHours: 5 days/week, 10-12 hour shifts (minimum 50 hours/week)Overtime: Built-in weekly OTEstimated Weekly Take-Home: ~$4,000+Per Diem: $175/day workedKey Responsibilities:Install, bend, and run EMT and rigid conduitPull wire and perform terminationsInstall lighting systems, switchgear, panels, and cableRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawingsPerform electrical troubleshooting and repairsWork with low- and medium-voltage systemsSupport large-scale commercial and industrial electrical constructionEnsure all work complies with NEC, project specifications, and safety standardsCollaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on siteMaintain accurate documentation of installations and system updatesRequired Experience:Journeyman-level experience in commercial or industrial electrical constructionConduit bending (EMT & rigid)Terminations and panel workLighting and electrical system installationBlueprint and schematic readingElectrical troubleshootingExperience on large-scale projects; data center experience preferredLicensing Requirements: A valid Journeyman Electrician License is required. Eligible licenses must be from a state with Iowa reciprocity, including: AK, AR, CO, MN, MT, NE, NH, ND, OK, SD, TX, WI, WY
