Toscano Herriman is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to help lead our back-of-house operations with professionalism, accountability, and a passion for great food. What You'll Do As our Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will support the Kitchen Manager/Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen while ensuring exceptional food quality, food safety, and team performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in overseeing all daily back-of-house operations. Lead by example while maintaining Toscano Herrima's standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and presentation. Supervise, Train, Coach, and Develop Kitchen Staff. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management. Maintain proper staffing levels and assist in managing labor costs. Ensure compliance with all health department regulations, food safety standards, and company policies. Monitor food preparation to ensure recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards are consistently followed. Assist in inventory management, ordering, receiving, and product rotation. Help control food costs by minimizing waste and monitoring portion control. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Work closely with the Front of House management team to ensure efficient service and an exceptional guest experience. Assist in reviewing kitchen performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability. Step into the Kitchen Manager role when needed to ensure smooth daily operations. Qualifications Required: Minimum two (2) years of recent kitchen management or kitchen leadership experience in a full-service restaurant. Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, sanitation, and food safety. Proven ability to Lead, Motivate, and Develop Kitchen Teams. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with inventory management, ordering, food cost control, and labor management. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended shifts as business needs require. Licensing Requirements: Must possess upon hire: Utah Food Handler Permit Compensation & Benefits Salary: $60,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience.
