Lone Star Circle of Care is a federally qualified community health center serving Central Texas. Job Description Obtain, evaluate, and record patient history in medical file Obtain and measure vital signs and record information on patients\' charts Use thermometer, scales, sphygmomanometer/stethoscope, scalp vein needles, hearing/vision screening equipment, pulse oximetry, tympanometer, basic laboratory equipment (e.g., microscope, centrifuge, hematology analyzer), and specimen collection Prepare and maintain examination/treatment rooms, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and inventory of medical supplies and materials Assist in the examination of patients under the direction of a physician Explain treatment procedures to patients May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis Prepare and administer oral medications and routine immunizations Perform routine diagnostic and laboratory tests Other duties as assigned Qualifications Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing school required BLS (CPR & AED) certification issued by the American Heart Association required Previous nursing experience in a Clinic/Outpatient environment preferred Proficiency in Spanish is preferred Additional Information We expect all employees to adhere to a high standard of excellence in work ethic, appearance, customer service and quality of work.
