$190K–$220K + Bonus
Position Overview
A growing multi-brand eCommerce organization is seeking a Director of Marketplace Operations & Growth to oversee and scale its business across multiple online marketplaces.
This role leads 3 managers and an 10+ person team, including overseas resources , with responsibility for marketplace operations, revenue, and net profit across 20,000+ SKUs .The ideal candidate is an operations-first marketplace leader who understands how to develop and grow marketplace channels . This person will identify opportunities, use data to determine where to focus, and ensure the teams responsible for execution are aligned and accountable for results. We are looking for someone who understands the full marketplace engine and knows how to use strong operations to drive growth.
The Ideal Candidate
Proven marketplace operations leader with experience managing managers
Understands how to develop, launch, and scale marketplace channels
Experience operating across multiple marketplaces and large SKU catalogs
Strong understanding of listings, catalog, inventory, pricing, promotions, account health, and marketplace performance
Uses reporting and data to identify opportunities, diagnose underperformance, and prioritize resources
Technically fluent in marketplace feeds, integrations, APIs, and related systems
Commercially minded with a strong understanding of how marketplace operations drive sales and net profit
Hands-on, decisive leader who delegates effectively and drives accountability
Key Responsibilities
Lead 3 marketplace departments and their managers , aligning teams around operational, revenue, and profitability goals
Oversee marketplace performance across 20,000+ SKUs and multiple platforms
Develop existing marketplace channels and identify opportunities to expand onto new platforms
Drive revenue and net profit by improving marketplace execution and identifying where to invest
Establish reporting, KPIs, and benchmarks to create visibility across marketplaces, SKUs, and teams
Ensure listings, catalog, inventory, pricing, promotions, and marketplace processes support growth
Oversee technical and operational issues affecting SKU availability or marketplace performance
Identify bottlenecks, delegate ownership, and hold managers accountable through resolution
Provide the COO with clear visibility into performance, priorities, and growth opportunities
Qualifications
Significant hands-on marketplace/eCommerce operations experience
Experience managing managers and cross-functional teams
Demonstrated success developing and growing marketplace channels
Experience across platforms such as Amazon Seller, Walmart Marketplace, eBay, and other third-party marketplaces
Experience managing high-volume SKU/catalog operations
Strong analytical, reporting, technical, and problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrated ability to translate marketplace opportunities into measurable revenue and profitability growth
