About the Role:

United Welding is looking for a Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of fabrication and construction projects involving miscellaneous metals, structural steel, and process piping. This role works closely with internal teams, customers, vendors, and field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys managing unique and fast-paced projects.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or construction management
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Experience working with project budgets, schedules, and client coordination

• Experience with metals or process pipe fabrication/construction
• Experience with estimating and procurement
• Familiarity with drafting, fabrication, and installation coordination
• Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews

• Review and manage project plans, scope, schedules, budgets, and resource needs
• Coordinate and lead project kickoff meetings with internal teams and clients
• Manage project execution to ensure work is completed safely and according to specifications
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients and provide project updates
• Coordinate communication between internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers
• Conduct regular project meetings to review progress and resolve issues
• Monitor project budgets and expenses to maintain financial performance
• Support efficient resource allocation and scheduling
• Work with accounting and finance teams to track project costs and profitability
• Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct inspections and address quality issues as needed

• Strong understanding of construction and fabrication operations

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Frequent use of hands for computer work and documentation
• Ability to visit active fabrication shops and construction sites
• Ability to walk job sites and navigate industrial environments safely
• Ability to occasionally lift materials or equipment up to 25 lbs

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday
• In-person role based out of Fredericksburg, VA

United Welding was formed in 2009 and specializes in the fabrication and field installation of process piping, structural steel, and custom metal projects. The company supports projects throughout the I-95 corridor from Richmond to Baltimore, with the majority of work located in the Metro DC area. United Welding operates both field crews and a fabrication facility based in Fredericksburg, VA and continues to grow its operations across the region.
