Job ID: 35161Company: Evans General ContractorsLocation: Alpharetta, GA, USEmployment type: full timeWork type: OnsiteSalary: USD 140000 per yearPosted: 2026-10-05Summary/ObjectiveEvans General Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced attorney to join its growing in-house Legal Department as Corporate Counsel, Corporate Affairs & Compliance.Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this attorney will support Evans’ corporate governance, entity administration, contractor licensing, enterprise compliance, company policies, internal business contracts, and related legal initiatives.This is a substantive, business-facing position for an attorney who wants to help build and maintain the legal and compliance infrastructure of a growing national construction company. The successful candidate will work directly with senior leadership and collaborate across Legal, Human Resources, Risk, Finance, Information Technology, Procurement, Operations, Marketing, and other business functions.The role is intended for an attorney who exercises practical judgment, takes ownership of substantive matters, and enjoys developing workable systems and solutions rather than advising from the sidelines. This is an onsite position based in one of our offices located in Alpharetta, GA; Savannah, GA; Dallas, TX; Charlotte, NC; or Raleigh, NC.Key ResponsibilitiesManage governance, entity records, registrations, filings, and related corporate documentation.Support contractor licensing, qualifying-agent matters, government registrations, renewals, and multistate requirements.Develop practical compliance programs, policies, controls, training, and guidance, including ethics, conflicts, anti-bribery, confidentiality, records, and artificial intelligence.Support compliance inquiries, internal reviews, investigations, government audits, certifications, filings, and responses.Draft, review, and negotiate internal business agreements; advise clients on material terms, risks, alternatives, and approvals.Build scalable legal systems and coordinate assigned matters with outside counsel and cross-functional teams.What Success Looks LikeBecome a trusted advisor and own defined corporate, compliance, licensing, policy, and contract workstreams.Give clear, practical advice; identify issues early; and advance solutions efficiently.Build reliable, scalable systems, workflows, and records.Develop productive cross-functional relationships and manage outside counsel efficiently.Assume greater responsibility as knowledge of Evans and demonstrated judgment grow.The position is expected to work primarily from the selected Evans office and to collaborate regularly with colleagues and business leaders across the company.
