Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, security, and operational maintenance of diverse Windows and Cloud Services. This role directly supports the Office of Information Systems Management (OISM) services and NIST Mission Essential Functions, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the NIST OISM and National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) infrastructure. Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level (ZP-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as: providing system administration and development for Hybrid Cloud Services. Specifically: Implementing lifecycle management for IT assets provisioned through the system, including creating and scheduling reports. Performing Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service management to include Incident, Problem, and Change management. Providing functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation for server systems. Assisting in designing, writing, testing, and debugging PowerShell, Ansible, Python or similar automation languages Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
