Location: 993 Johnson Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30342
Department: 705A Histology Lab
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Histology experience
• ASCP Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) Certification (Required)
• Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program or
• Associate's degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences

Job Responsibilities

• Process surgical pathology specimens
• Accession specimens into Cerner
• Collect tissue blocks from Pathologists
• Process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens
• Prepare high-quality histology slides for diagnostic evaluation
• Support Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows

Important Information

• No local candidates (must reside 50+ miles from the facility).
• Travelers are expected to work the following holiday schedule:
  • 2 Major Holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Year's Day
  • 1 Minor Holiday: Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
