Director, Patient Data Strategy & Operations We are seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to assume the role of Director, Patient Data Strategy & Operations. The Director will serve as the data quarterback for Patient Data across Therapeutic Areas (TAs) and the Patient Services Organization, leading strategy, management, and operations for patient data from ingestion to compliance, and monitoring downstream solutions via data products and analytics platforms. Position Overview The Director will be the primary point of contact for patient data strategy and all related activities, govern business process rules, and provide regular communications regarding data quality, operations, and market impact. They will collaborate with data partners, contractors, and internal stakeholders (IT, Patient Experience, and other business functions) to resolve data issues, support large and complex data initiatives, and oversee multiple TA and Patient Services specific teams. The role also includes leadership of AI initiatives, master service provider (MSP) projects, and data acquisition and integration efforts. Responsibilities Own the overall strategy, management, and operations of patient data across all TAs and Patient Services, ensuring quality of data assets (e.g., HUB, support programs, specialty pharmacy, claims, tokenization processes). Lead the ongoing quality and application of the data pipeline supporting insights, analytics, patient experience, and sales and marketing. Act as key contact and “data quarterback” within the organization for patient data related needs, advising on best data sources for business insights. Lead the data governance program for patient data across the portfolio, supervising data quality and resolving related issues. Lead data change management, issue resolution, and integration projects for existing products and new launches. Lead AI initiatives for patient data improvement, tokenization, and creation of compliant integrated patient data. Lead all patient data Master Service Provider (MSP) initiatives. Lead patient data strategy, sourcing, acquisition, management, and operations, enabling data solutions. Lead data‑centric projects through resource management, execution, and communication (e.g., onboarding, event/disruption response). Collaborate with internal business partners on data validation and coordination activities for stakeholders, reports, and systems. Engage process owners to align mitigation plans for data events and changes on commercial operations processes. Lead annual data purchase or processing budgets, build purchase orders, and collaborate with finance, procurement, and business owners on spending. Maintain inventory of purchased data and promote awareness of its application. Participate in evaluation of new data sources to provide insights and competitive advantage. Ensure vendors align with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for data quality, delivery, error reporting, and resolution. Qualifications & Requirements 15+ years of experience in patient data strategy, data management, analytics, or commercial excellence within pharmaceuticals or life sciences. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Analytics, or Health Sciences required; Master’s or PhD is a plus. Advanced knowledge of pharma data sources (first‑party HUB, support programs, specialty pharmacy, claims, RWE/HEOR, IDN/ACO affiliates) and secondary data vendors (IQVIA, Komodo, Symphony, SPP). Experience with AI patient data applications and leadership of AI initiatives. Prior experience establishing and leading data partnerships with external vendors. Strong grasp of data analytics, AI, and machine learning concepts for business operations. Proficiency with data querying and business intelligence tools for managing large data sets. Deep understanding of data governance, lifecycle, quality, metadata, and management principles. Critical thinking, analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams and with senior leadership. Familiarity with data privacy regulations and industry compliance considerations. Other The preferred location is Titusville, NJ, with consideration of Horsham, PA. Pay Transparency The anticipated base pay range for this position is $150,000 to $258,750 USD. Subjects to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following company‑sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. They are eligible for the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)), and the Company’s long‑term incentive program. Employees are eligible for time‑off benefits including vacation (120 hours per calendar year), sick time (40 hours per calendar year), holiday pay (13 days per calendar year with floating holidays), work/personal/family time (up to 40 hours per calendar year), parental leave (480 hours within one year of birth/adoption/foster care), condolence leave (30 days for immediate family, 5 days for extended family), caregiver leave (10 days), volunteer leave (4 days), and military spouse time‑off (80 hours).
