The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.Hourly Range: $48.00 - 65.00/hour, depending on experienceMonday-Friday daytime work scheduleNO call requiredNO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hoursRequired Skills:EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEGraduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent CA Nursing LicenseCurrent BLS, ACLS and PALS accredited by AHA2+ years experience in Pre-Op/PACU. Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstand principles of aseptic technique and their implementationAbility to care for patients from infancy to geriatricsKnowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errorsAbility to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when neededExcellent teaching skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsDemonstrate strong professional and ethical behaviorAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees.
