Maintenance Technician

We are hiring experienced Maintenance Technicians for our overnight shift! This role is responsible for performing preventative and reactive maintenance on automated food production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience and be comfortable working with industrial automation systems.

Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Pay: $25 - $34 / hour

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial bakery and packaging equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including motors, relays, sensors, contactors, switches, and VFDs
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Repair conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, drive systems, and other manufacturing machinery
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Program and troubleshoot basic VFD applications
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and food safety standards
• Respond quickly to production downtime issues and prioritize maintenance calls
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and parts inventory records
• Assist with sanitation efforts and production startup activities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Working knowledge of:
  • PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred)
  • VFDs
  • Conveyors
  • Motors and 3-phase motors
  • Photo-eye sensors
  • Industrial electrical systems
  • Ladder logic
  • Machinery wiring
  • Lockout/Tagout procedures

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sanford, FL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
