Bring your passion for food preparation, merchandising, and team leadership to a role where you set the standard for quality, support your associates, and deliver a deli experience customers can trust and enjoy every day.Main Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of the Deli Department with a strong focus on customer service, food quality, and department readinessCreate a fast, friendly, customer-first environment and resolve customer questions, concerns, and special requestsExecute merchandising plans, planograms, promotional sets, and seasonal programsOversee preparation, slicing, cooking, packaging, and merchandising of deli items following company recipes and standardsMaintain full, fresh, and visually appealing service case, grab-and-go, and hot case displaysManage ordering, inventory, shrink, production logs, and waste reportingBuild and manage schedules aligned with sales volume and labor targetsHire, train, coach, and develop deli associates while promoting teamwork and accountabilityEnsure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature controls, and regulatory requirementsWe are looking for candidates who possess the following:Soft Skills:Strong customer-service mindset with a passion for food qualityEffective leadership, coaching, and communication skillsStrong organization, time management, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentCompetencies:Deli production, food handling, and merchandising executionLabor planning, scheduling, and performance managementInventory management, ordering, and shrink controlFood safety, sanitation, and compliance oversightKnowledge:Food safety standards, sanitation practices, and equipment operationDeli preparation techniques and merchandising standardsStore systems, ordering platforms, and basic computer applicationsAbilities:Ability to review sales, labor, and shrink data to support planning and prioritizationAbility to train, coach, and develop associatesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in hot and cold temperature environmentsAbility to safely operate slicers, ovens, knives, scales, and cleaning toolsTravel requirements: NoneOther requirements: Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance; compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and the Code of Business ConductWe also provide a variety of benefits including:Competitive wages paid weeklyAssociate discountsHealth and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)Time off (vacation, holidays, sick pay).
