Associate General Counsel

A well-established financial services institution is seeking an experienced attorney to join its in-house legal team supporting capital markets activities. This role provides direct counsel to senior business leaders across fixed income and equity-related markets, with a strong emphasis on regulatory interpretation, transactional support, and risk management. The position operates at the intersection of securities law, public finance, and investment banking, supporting a highly regulated and fast-moving trading and underwriting environment. Key Responsibilities Advise senior stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters related to capital markets and trading activities Support fixed income and equity capital markets businesses on structuring, execution, and ongoing regulatory compliance Interpret and translate evolving securities laws and regulatory guidance into actionable internal policies and procedures Draft, review, and negotiate transaction and commercial agreements, including underwriting, advisory, and confidentiality documentation Support regulatory examinations, inquiries, subpoenas, and investigations, coordinating with internal teams and external counsel Assist in managing litigation and dispute matters tied to capital markets activities Partner with Compliance, Risk, and business leadership on licensing, product development, and control frameworks Contribute to strategic initiatives, including new offerings, operational enhancements, and process improvements #J-18808-Ljbffr
