Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Optometrist to join an established retail-based optometry practice located within a major membership retail store in Lancaster, PA .

This is a clinical optometry position focused on patient care — not sales . The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribe corrective lenses, and educate patients on their overall eye health.

The position offers full-time hours with a flexible schedule , making it an excellent opportunity for an Optometrist seeking a strong work-life balance while maintaining a full-time clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages
• Conduct refractions and evaluate overall ocular health
• Diagnose, treat, and manage ocular conditions and diseases
• Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses as appropriate
• Identify ocular conditions requiring additional evaluation or specialty care
• Provide patient education regarding eye health and treatment options
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Deliver professional, compassionate, patient-centered care
• Collaborate with optical staff to provide a seamless patient experience
• Follow all applicable state regulations and professional standards

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
• Active and unrestricted Optometry license
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to high-quality patient care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
• Retail optometry experience is a plus, but not required
