Travel assignment, 13 weeks, 12hr nights, 36 hours a week, starting November 23, 2026.

Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,085 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $1,364.85 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Pediatric Floor specialty. This position provides nursing care for pediatric patients across hematology/oncology, medical-surgical, and other pediatric specialties. The role requires pediatric experience, readiness to support multiple pediatric care areas, and participation in an overnight schedule with weekend rotation.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Pediatric experience within the previous 18 months; at least 24 months of pediatric and/or oncology experience; at least one completed travel contract within the previous 18 months; active Iowa or compact/multistate nursing license at the time of submission; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association; discipline-specific pediatric skills checklist; current driver’s license documentation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Hematology/oncology experience; familiarity with the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses.
• Schedule: Night shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and every third weekend. Overnight on-call availability from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. may be required during periods of low census.
• Additional Information: Patient populations include pediatric hematology/oncology, medical-surgical, and other pediatric specialties. The role may support emergency department inpatient holds, neonatal intensive care, general pediatric units, and pediatric intensive care as needed. Typical patient assignments range from 1:2 to 1:4. Summer holiday coverage may be required for one or two of three designated holidays unless the unit is closed. Orientation dates are 11/23/2026, 12/07/2026, and 12/21/2026.
