SSE is the leading provider of Operable Walls, Athletic Flooring, Bleachers, Stadium & Auditorium Seating, and Athletic Equipment for Commercial and Educational facilities for the state of Florida.

The Project Manager is responsible for achieving maximum safety, efficiency, customer service, and project profitability outcomes in managing assigned projects through professional communications, planning, and organization of the company’s resources.

 

Essential duties include but are not limited to the following in accordance with SSE policies, parameters, and guidelines:

• Create a plan for the successful performance of the assigned projects and monitor the process consistently
• Assume direct responsibility for managing multiple projects at one time from start to finish while achieving assigned project profitability goals of the company.
• Maintain a working familiarity of each project to facilitate successful project completion.

· Liaise between the construction teams, installers, other trades, and SSE Sales & Administration.

· Verify and coordinate labor, equipment, job site readiness required to perform work according to project schedules and budgets.

· Attend Project meetings as required. (Onsite or via remote means)

· Review job plans and specifications to ensure that products/services performed follow contract documents

· Evaluate ways to reduce costs and improve profitability

· Perform and direct quality timely jobsite inspections, field checks as required.

· Place orders with manufacturers as required and release products via manufacturer provided portal systems

· Submittal preparation/distribution/Revisions/re -submittals, responsibilities include review for notes and compliance through approval

· Issue Purchase orders and work orders, change orders, warranty and close out documents.

· Invoice approvals, back charges, trouble reports, freight claims

· Coordination of deliveries, factory pickup, equipment rental

· Support Project and General Management with responsibilities of P&L for the company.

· Participate in relevant weekly SSE scheduling meetings (remote or in person)

· Coordinate with other departments related to installation, service, and warranty projects.

· Responsibility for follow up of resolving customer satisfaction and installation completion.

 

 

General Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and procedure manuals. 

· Strong working knowledge of “best practices”, including basic construction contracts, architectural products, and general business methods.

· Positive / solutions-based approach to challenges

· Treat everyone with trust and respect while representing SSE

· Ability to clearly communicate project expectations to clients, sub-contractors, and internal customers

· Ability to speak effectively and interact with team members, leadership, General contractors, architects, and client

· Ability to solve site and plan problems and perform quality work while maintaining a focus on controlling costs.

• Ability to provide clear direction and guidance for technicians, installation crew, or subcontractors.

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in project, service, or installation management of relevant construction specialty items is required.

· Computer literate, including Microsoft office 365, QuickBooks, ACT, and PM software.

· Working knowledge of costing, estimating programs, proposal or change order preparation

· Knowledge of working with field superintendents, project managers, engineers and field technicians

· Good driving record with valid driver's license with the flexibility to travel to job sites as needed (25% max)

· Limited overnight travel depending on project location, complexity of projects, Company meetings/events.

· Authorized to work in United States

· Drug Free screening

· Jessica Lundsford Act level 2 background check

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Successful adherence to budgets and deadlines.

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions, managing multiple priorities.

· Proven leadership skills with the ability to interact and influence others in a positive manner.
