Heavy Equipment MechanicWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy machinery and production equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel systems and be committed to maintaining equipment safety and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair heavy equipment and production machinery.Disassemble and reassemble machine components according to manufacturer specifications.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel engine issues.Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.Use diagnostic tools, laptops, gauges, and testing equipment to identify machine faults.Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.Repair and maintain engines, power train systems, hydraulics, and related components.Conduct diesel engine diagnostics and repairs.Perform general automotive-style repairs on heavy equipment when required.Complete welding repairs as needed (preferred but not mandatory).Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and parts usage information.Follow workplace safety standards and procedures at all times.Work closely with team members to ensure efficient repair and maintenance operations.Required QualificationsExperience repairing heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or production equipment.Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Knowledge of diesel engine repair and diagnostics.Experience using diagnostic software, testing equipment, and repair tools.Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and best practices.Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.Preferred QualificationsWelding and fabrication experience.Experience working with power train systems and heavy machinery hydraulics.Automotive repair related to heavy equipment.Willingness to learn new skills through cross-training programs.Ability to work on various types of equipment and machinery.BenefitsLong-term job stability with an established company.Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.Company-funded retirement plan.Paid holidays and vacation.Training, career development, and cross-training opportunities.Supportive team-oriented work environment.Work EnvironmentWork in a workshop and outdoor environments.Perform repairs both in-shop and at customer/job sites as needed.Regular use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Fast-paced, hands-on role working with heavy industrial equipment.Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and non-climate-controlled environments.Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Crystal City, MO.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $56160.00/yr.
