Utility Laborer

Location: North Versailles, PA
Pay: $18.00+ per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (schedule may vary based on job site needs)

Express Employment Professionals is seeking Utility Laborers for a growing utility and construction company in the North Versailles area. This is a full-time opportunity for dependable individuals who enjoy working outdoors and performing hands-on excavation, piping, and construction work. Job Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of utility and construction labor tasks at job sites
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards
• Load, unload, and distribute building materials, equipment, and tools
• Operate jackhammers, drills, and other construction equipment
• Set up and dismantle scaffolding, barricades, ramps, and temporary structures
• Dig ditches and trenches, backfill excavations, and compact soil
• Locate existing underground pipes using locating equipment
• Assist with piping installation and repair projects
• Perform landscaping and general labor duties as needed
• Follow all job site safety requirements and procedures

Qualifications

• Valid Driver License required
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a drug screening
• Previous utility, construction, excavation, landscaping, or labor experience is a plus
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be dependable and able to work as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• Ability to dig, shovel, rake, and perform manual excavation and landscaping work
