Allied Technician - Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapist (Pediatric)This role involves performing respiratory therapy procedures as per established protocols and physician orders to enhance the cardiopulmonary conditions of patients across various age groups, including newborns and geriatrics. The Clinical Respiratory Therapist primarily focuses on patients within critical care units, general adult care, and pediatric care. The position may also require providing respiratory care at secondary sites as necessary.Key Responsibilities:Conduct thorough assessments of Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients and their families.Plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care interventions based on patient assessments.Initiate, modify, and manage a patient's care plan following standardized protocols under the supervision of healthcare providers.Document all patient records and department logs accurately and timely.Stay updated with technological advancements relevant to respiratory therapy and incorporate best practices into care.Ensure a positive patient experience through effective communication and service recovery when needed.Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience.Demonstrated experience in critical care settings.Required competencies in PICU and NICU care.Must hold a RRT credential and a valid state license.Obtain state licensure for Point of Care Analyst or fulfill requirements to become a General Supervisor of Point of Care.AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required to be obtained prior to starting the role.Work Environment:Expectation to thrive in a fast-paced and busy environment that serves a wide geographic area.
