Software QA Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Execute, maintain, and expand software test cases.
• Edit existing test cases for accuracy and collaborate on test coverage.
• Investigate, document, and report software and hardware bugs.
• Review logs, bug reports, requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
• Verify bug fixes and provide feedback on software and hardware testability.
• Provide weekly updates on task progress and bugs logged.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, product managers, and QA leads.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in a QA/testing position.
• Experience writing test cases and test plans and implementing test strategy.
• Experience reviewing logs to determine the root cause of bugs.
• Competency with command-line tools.
• Experience with bug-tracking software such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Mantis.
• Experience with Android debugging tools.
• Experience with automated and manual testing methodologies.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle and quality assurance.
• Clear, accurate, and concise written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
